Counts the cells in a range that meet multiple specified criteria.

Syntax

COUNTIFS (rango_criterios1, criterion1 [rango_criterios2], [criterion1])

  • criteria_range1 (required ): The range to which the first criteria will be applied.
  • criterion1 (mandatory ): The criterion that will be applied to the first rank to be considered in the account.
  • criteria_range2 (optional ): The second range to which a criterion will be applied.
  • criterion2 (optional ): The criterion that will be applied to the second rank to be considered in the account. Up to 127 additional range and criterion pairs are allowed.

Examples

COUNTIF.SET (A1: A5, “= 5”) = Counts the cells that are equal to 5 in the range A1: A5
COUNTIF.SET (A1: A5, “> 5”, A1: A5, “ <10 ”) = Counts the cells in the range A1: A5 greater than 5 but less than 10
